We are over half way through our 28 days of gratitude challenge and it has far exceeded any of my expectations.

If you didn’t get signed up, you still can, it’s never too late for gratitude!

The part that has been the best for me is the ideas and experiences that are being shared in our facebook group (the link is shared in the first email after signing up)

I wanted a place to compile some of the nuggets and resources I’ve learned about, so I thought a blog post that I can reference (and you can too!) would be a great idea.

Here are the some of the quotes, ideas, resources and take aways from the first half of our gratitude challenge: (a quick THANK YOU to everyone who has shared these!)

  1. Getting your kids involved with gratitude is easy! Heidi shared this inexpensive gratitude journal she purchased for her sons, a quick simple way to teach your kids gratitude. This would be a great stocking stuffer!

  2. A quote: “How do we decide that the risk is worth the reward? Hope? Trust? Faith? We must have all of those things greater than fear.”

  3. A comment on a post I thought was worth sharing: “There are so many blessings in our past. So much to be grateful for. In the moment, at times, we may see obstacles, but those tend to lead to moments of our greatest growth and understanding. These turn out to be days in which we are most grateful, grows our faith, and creates the most ‘awesome’ version of ourselves.”

  4. A gratitude scavenger hunt

5. Great articles with quotes that make you think: "It’s a matter of perspective, and in a world where we are constantly made to feel like we are lacking and always ‘wanting’ more, it can be difficult to achieve or experience actual happiness. Many of us are always looking toward external factors to experience joy and happiness, when really it’s all related to internal work."

6. And a tip for gaining perspective on hard situations: “I will tell you that a previous situation that I had which could have been career changing /life changing occurred and one way to process it was to list the positives that were coming from it. This is a great exercise in perspective.”

7. Daily reminders to never forget:

8. An easy (and free!) way to send snail mail love: My Postcard App

Send your first postcard FREE with $3 added to your account with this link.

9. An app for positive affirmations: Think up app. I have yet to download this (I’m not sure what I’m waiting for, but going to right now!)

These are the things that stuck out to me in the first 14 days of the challenge. If you’re doing the challenge, I would love to hear what you have found the most valuable and if you’re not, what are you waiting for?!
