my tupperware power chef chopper

My life in the kitchen has forever been transformed since I met my friend Michelle (the crazy tupperware lady).  She recently gave me a tupperware chopper to try out.  To be honest, I was a little skeptical because I have a slight obsession with my food processors and didn't really think the tupperware chopper was all that necessary. (I have a big and small food processor--you can read about my obsession here). But I was pleasantly surprised!  So far, I really love it.

A few ways I've used it:

//   I made some garden fresh salsa: tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, and cilantro.  I don't know what it was about that salsa but the flavor was delicious.  And it was so easy to make...just cut the cores out of the tomatoes and peppers, and the peels off the onions and garlic and toss it all in the container. IMG_1442

//   I used it to make egg salad the other day too.  I think the best part about it is the seal (don't say lid...lids are for toilets!) that fits right on the body of the chopper, so it can go into the fridge.  Garden fresh egg salad:  onions, broccoli, carrots, peppers--chopped, with eggs, mayo, and mustard.IMG_1718//   I chopped up carrots and broccoli and mixed it with 1 lb hamburger, an egg, a splash of Worcestershire sauce and shaped into burger patties.  I took these camping last weekend and they really hit the spot while we were sitting around the campfire.  Even my picky dad ate them...he had no clue he was getting so many veggies in with his burger!

So far this has been a great addition to my kitchen and I'm excited to get a little more creative with it...Michelle says she uses it to make her guacamole...that may have to be next!

Do you have the tupperware chopper?

If so, share how you use it!
