choices.

Dave Mary Leech 2014.psd Life is a process.

It's a collection of small moments that add up to the big picture.

Each moment that comes, we have a choice on how to spend our time.

I've been more aware of how I spend my time, which is a great first step to changing my habits to more positive ones.

I ask myself, should I:

Practice yoga or sit on the couch and watch tv?

Read my book or surf the internet?

Go for a walk or play on my phone?

Spend time with family and friends or spend it alone?

When I've made the choice, I then can ask myself, Is this decision supporting what I want out of life?

If I choose to watch tv instead of do yoga, what does that mean? Does it mean I'm lazy?  Or does it mean I'm taking a break?  I suppose it means different things to different people.  The more positive choice, in my situation, would be to practice yoga: it feels good for my body and mind, and progresses me toward my future goal (to be a yoga teacher!) But sometimes it just feels good to relax and unwind in front of a good show (loving Parks and Rec right now!)

How do you decide how to spend your time, and have you asked yourself:

Are my choices helping me get what I want from life?
