What I Learned from the Digital Marketing Summit
What I learned from hosting the Digital Marketing Summit
In April and May, I hosted 2 virtual events called the Digital Marketing Summits, for small business owners to come together and learn more about simplifying and improving on their digital marketing.
Here’s what I learned from hosting these virtual events:
Getting a group of women together can be really powerful. All of the presenters and all of the attendees were amazing and I really enjoyed seeing the interactions and the connections being formed. It was just a confirmation that I want to continue to do things like this that will bring like-minded women together to network and connect to better themselves.
I feel like I definitely over delivered for the price that I charged. I want to be more confident in what I have to offer and what I'm putting out there but I just had no clue how much something like that was worth. In the future, I want to feel confident charging more.
There was so much information shared in the group that next time I will break it up into more specific topics and have them for shorter periods of time.
It also confirmed for me that it is possible to make money online, that people are willing to pay to be a part of a group and learn and that I need to get over my limiting beliefs that I can't make a business out of this. Because I can. And it CAN be easy, and I CAN enjoy it.
The day I presented on Monday morning during my live I realized a few things about myself. I am an educator. I love to teach and speak in front of others and I realized that one of my goals is to be a speaker and share my experiences in front of lots of people. I want to get paid to speak.
I also learned that the things I do for my business are not second nature to some people. I love binders and organization and I showed some behind the scenes of how I use binders in my business. I didn't realize that other people didn't do that as well, which makes me feel like I have a lot to offer other people when it comes to simplifying and being organized in your business.
I can impact people just by being myself. You are an influence on those around you even though you may not realize it. Keep going, sharing, putting your thoughts and actions out there. You never know who is watching.
I loved hosting the digital marketing summits, and this is definitely not the end for me. I am giving myself a few months to process these events, but will be offering something again soon.
