arbor tea: my honest opinion

arbortea

arbor tea: my honest opinion I'm a coffee and tea drinker. I always love a cup of coffee, but kind of go in and out of phases with my tea drinking. I've been thinking a lot about how much waste I'm producing, so I was pretty excited to hear about Arbor Tea from a conversation with my friend Trish. Instagram rocks like that.

And so does Arbor Tea. They are exclusively organic teas with compostable packaging. When I checked out their website, I knew I wanted to try some of their teas. Luckily, they have samplers you can order. So for a cheap and inexpensive thrill (that I plan to pay forward), I ordered a few samples and decided to do a taste test to teach myself more about what I like and don't like. And blog about it of course!

I also needed an excuse to use my cute daisy tea infuser from my sister in law!

I got: the decaf sampler with 2 black teas: earl grey and english breakfast, and 2 green teas: tropical and just green.  I also got peach rooibos to try as an iced tea, chamomile, and chamomile mint (both known to soothe your tummy and perfect for after dinner).

Here are my ratings:  * ok              ** good         ***  Want to drink more

Peach Rooibos  *** (as a brewed iced tea), tried as a hot tea, too fine for my tea diffuser

Chamomile * (hot)

Chamomile Mint ** (hot), would be good cold too

Decaf English Breakfast Tea ***

Decaf Earl Grey  **, this is smooth

Decaf Green *ok, I think I steeped it too long, it had a bite to it.

Decaf Tropical  *** this is a delicious, fruity green tea, that makes me want to drink more green tea. It reminds me of a tropical place, like Hawaii.

I will be ordering more of the Decaf green tropical, peach rooibos, and the english breakfast tea.

I plan to try a few more flavors when I order bigger quantities of the ones I like. This was a fun experiment and I'll be trying more teas soon!
