The Messy Middle

I am in the thick of it friends. The messy middle. The trying to figure it all out and how it will all fit together.

When I bought the KBB course, someone asked me, “What are you going to do with what you learn?” That question caused me some anxiety and I immediately started second guessing my decision. I have NO IDEA what I’m going to do with it. WAH!!

But that’s not true. I’m going to take what I’m learning and will have learned, and apply it to our already existing business, Natural Plus Nursery. AND I’m starting my own business, helping people figure out what they want, and how to get it by setting goals, creating systems to reach their goals, and actually ACHIEVING them! I am still narrowing this down and figuring out my niche, but I know it will come!

I am the queen of goal setting, in fact, I went to graduate school and got a master’s degree in it. I’m an occupational therapist and that’s what I was trained to do: develop treatment plans and set goals so my patients could get better. The treatment process was simple. First, I evaluate them, then together we decide what they want to achieve. We set long and short term goals which help us focus and drives everything we do during the treatment.

This concept can be applied to our lives too. Setting goals for what we want out of our lives is really important to give us focus. If we have no focus, we often fill our days with busy tasks, but things that aren’t moving us forward toward what we really want.

Many times we fill our days with ALL THE THINGS. We jump from one task to another, trying to get everything done. Often times, these things aren’t even important to us. And there in lies the reasons we struggle to stick to our goals. We get distracted.

The first key is to determine what is important to us. Once we determine what is the most important to us, then, and only then, can we decide what our goals are. Then, how you spend your time should reflect just that.

Want to dive deeper in to some of your goals, and why you’re struggling to follow through?

I can help.
