Short On Time.
Time.
A hot commodity these days.
Something we will never get back.
Something we spend, waste, use, and wish for more of.
I was leaving the Walmart parking lot last night, driving slowly (as you should in a parking lot) while chatting with Holtan about some of the goodies we got (back to school shopping β ). I was paying attention, but admittedly I was more engaged in my conversation with my son. As I got toward the end of the row, I heard a loud revving of an engine and a quick glance in my rearview and side mirrors showed me that I was really pissing someone off behind me. They swerved to the right of me and sped off through another parking lot lane. Yikes.
I wondered to myself, βWhat's the hurry?β I'm sure I agitated this person to no end with my 10 mph driving in the parking lot. But really, why are we all in a rush all the time? Maybe there was an emergency he needed to get to, but my guess is he just didn't want to drive that slow. I'm making some assumptions here, but I think sometimes its those people that get road rage with slow drivers (I'm included in this group at times ππ»ββοΈ) are the ones that really could use the slow down.
Have you ever tried to rush through something, only to find you are stumbling over what you're trying to do and it's really taking you longer than if you just slowed down and took your time to get it done?
If you're short on time, don't speed up, slow down.
