Things I Never Want to Forget About This Season of Life
This season of life feels pretty hard some days. But when I really stop to think about it, this season of life is so incredibly sweet too.
Here are a few things I never want to forget about this season of my life:
Sister (aka Clara) is growing and changing so fast. She’s talking in complete sentences and has a goofy, playful personality. She insists on wearing socks with crocs, and always puts her shoes on the wrong feet. She is starting to do more imaginative play, and talks and sings to herself a lot.
Holtan is a good big brother. He is very helpful, and sometimes puts her down for a nap or to bed by himself. He was very innovative and figured out a way to get her into her crib by himself. He is enjoying his summer program at the Wellness Center and really wants to buy a UTV.
Dave and I have gotten time just the 2 of us: boating, kayaking and hanging on our paddle board in the pond at HLC. Grief has been hard on both of us, and this alone time together is helping us heal.
It’s summer, the days are long, the weather is good, and it’s amazing to be outside getting fresh air everyday.
Hanging at the camper, slowing down and resting
Having fun creatively, playing with my clothes and colors
Finding my love for thrifting and spending time going to garage sales.
Feeling so much better in my body, thanks to good nutrition and daily movement
Day trips and get togethers to catch up and connect with friends and family
Golf cart rides, boat rides, rides at the carnival, and rides in the Jeep with the tops off
Blooms and card club and loyal customers and great help at the nursery
This is only just a snippet of all of the good happening in my life right now, but these are the things I never want to forget about this season of my life.
