How I "Scrapbook" our Moments

*this post contains affiliate links ;)

I’m a documenter. I love taking pictures and capturing moments with photos. But If you’re like me, you have 7,459 photos on your phone and anxiety that you’re going to lose them all without having any printed or backed up. Sound familiar?

I decided I needed to do something about it, but I don’t have a ton of time to spend on the project. I found Chatbooks, and it’s just what this busy working mom needed.

I started backing up all my pictures with google photos, which I love, because I can search key words or dates and easily find old photos. AND, I can link my google photos right to my Chatbooks account making creating photo books, prints and cards super easy.

I decided to subscribe to a series, which you can choose to have 1 or 2 books printed per month. I started back in 2016, because that was the last time I had printed a photo book or any prints. YIKES. I did spend some time picking photos and editing the books, but once that time was invested, I received 2 books per month ($21) until I got all caught up.

One thing you will not find anywhere else is the customer service. I had some problems with my subscription and I emailed the support, and since then have been working with one of their support staff, Annie. She is great, has solved all of my problems for me and answered every question, in a timely, efficient manner. It has been so great to be able to talk to the same person each time I contact, and she even said she now reads this blog! So hi Annie! ;)

I am fortunate to have an amazing friend who made Holtan a scrapbook that I just had to fill in and put pictures in for the whole first year of his life. BethAnn of It’s Just Life sent me one of the best gifts we got after Holtan was born. I finally finished it, and after I did, I still wanted to write down the funny things he said, and document his milestones after he turned a year.

So I decided to try out The “Big Boy Book” by Emily Ley. I love her simplified planners, so I wasn’t surprised that I love this product too!

I love that it’s a binder, so I can three hole punch some of his art work and put it in there as well. It’s simple, but captures the memories and moments that are important.

I am looking forward to filling this book up with memories: it goes from ages 2 to 6.

If this seems like something you would love or you want to try a simplified planner for 2020, here’s $10 off your purchase!
