3 Quick Tips to Add Vegetables into Your Meals

3 QUICK TIPS TO ADD MORE VEGETABLES TO YOUR MEALS

Exercise more. Sleep more.

Drink more water. Eat more vegetables.

We ALL know we need to do more of ALL of these, but man, it all seems overwhelming sometimes.

Let’s just start with one: eating more vegetables.

I’ve made it SUPER SIMPLE for you to start RIGHT NOW with these 3 quick tips to get more vegetables in your life.

1. Chop up broccoli, spinach, kale, or any other vegetable super fine in the power chef chopper and add to EVERYTHING: eggs, soups, salads, sauces, tacos.. and the list goes on.

2. Eat a veggie at every meal. One way to do that is to set up a Tupperware serving center with cut up veggies and just pull out at meal time. You’ll be surprised when you and your family are grabbing from it during meal time because the veggies are already prepped and easy to eat.

3. Think about your meals using the simple formula: protein, vegetables, and healthy fats or carb. I wish I could say I thought of this one myself, but I have to give credit to my friend Ashley Coleman of Simply Nourished in Clear Lake. If you don’t follow her on Facebook or Instagram, you should, she has a ton of great info and simple ideas for eating better.

Planning meals with this simple formula has really simplified things for me. I start with the protein, which is usually some kind of local meat (most of what we eat comes from my friend Laura’s farm: chicken, pork, ground beef, brats, or eggs. Then, I add a vegetable or 2 to the equation: usually what I have on hand. And lastly, I cook all of it in a healthy fat or add a carb such as potato or sweet potato to the mix.
