Creating (in the form of drawing, doodling and card making) has been an important part of my healing.  Getting lost in the process of choosing the right colors, patterns, shapes, and sayings to make the perfect card is therapeutic.  It quiets my mind and distracts me. Recently I discovered washi tape and my card making life was transformed.  It is so easy to decorate the front of the card with a strip or 2 of decorative tape and a short little saying.  I try to keep it simple.   There's something to be said about receiving a card in the mail, and when it's handmade, even better.
