the summer of music
A few months ago, I declared the summer of 2015, the "summer of music."
Music has always been a big part of my life, and a big part of mine and Dave's time together. We have always enjoyed going to concerts and when we road trip and go on vacation, music plays a big part in our experiences. (WJJY in Northern Minnesota all the way!)
Since this is the "summer of music", I'm making plans to attend as many concerts as we can afford. Luckily, we live in a town and area that has a lot of great music right at our fingertips...and for cheap, or next to nothing.
So far this summer we have seen // Billy Bob Thornton at the Surf Ballroom // Tree Town Festival: Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Eli Young Band
And we plan to see: // George Thorogood (Surf Ballroom) June 2
// Eric Church (River Bash) June 27
// Kellie Pickler (Surf Ballroom) July 2
// Bikes Blues and BBQ July The Line Up: Friday, July 10, 2015, 5:00-10:30pm Reneé Austin, Alex Wilson Band, Reverend Raven & the Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys Friday Saturday, July 11,, 8:30pm Bernard Allison
// The Nadas (Air Show) July 26
I also plan to make more of an effort to listen to the smaller free concerts in the bandshell around the fourth of July and on Thursdays on Main.
