It's been too long! Time for another post about one of my favorite perennials....Peonies!!

Peonies have been a popular flower for years, likely because they are easy to grow, and so beautiful. They are a shrubby plant with thick roots and large green leaves on strong stems. Their blooms are colorful, showy, and fragrant.

They are extremely cold hardy and require little care after they are established.

This is a row of peonies that were planted by Dave's Grandpa Armand. They are right outside our back door and we get to enjoy them as we sit on our back patio or in my case, goofing around in our backyard.

Peonies also make a beautiful cut flower bouquet.

Peonies are a great choice to add color and fragrance to your yard.
