Spring into action!
I am itching for spring to arrive, as I sit here in our office and listen to the wind howl outside. Will it ever come? The answer to that is yes. And when it does come, we'll be wondering why we wished it would come so fast.
We have a lot to do. And there is so much anxiety about how things will pan out the first year. Will we be in the black? Will we have enough money for the improvements we want to make? Will we have enough help? Will we be able to pay our help? And the list goes on...
Along with the anxieties of the impending spring...I have been feeling a bit antsy in my personal work as an OT. I am searching for a way to take my OT practice to a new level. I would love to combine my love for the simple, natural life, with my passion for helping people live the life they desire. I have looked into life coaching, holistic nutrition, starting an organizing business, etc. For the next few months, my focus will be on the Nursery and selling plants and growing Natural Plus…but when the dust settles, I hope to have more insight about where I want to go in my career.
One thing I've had in mind is to provide more valuable, usable information on the blog. Thus far, I have used the blog as a way to document our lives, the takeover of the nursery, and the transformation of our house. It's fun to have a journal of our life over the last 6 months, but I want this blog to have more value for our readers. I am looking to make this blog into a resource center for customers visiting the nursery. I haven't posted much in the way of information, because to be honest with you…it doesn't feel like I know very much yet. But I will learn. And as I learn, I plan to share what I learn here on the blog. In between unloading semis, watering the plants, figuring out quickbooks, and keeping the nursery going, I hope to keep the blog updated on useful information for our customers. Its a tall order, but its something to shoot for.
What would you like to learn about? Is anyone interested in learning about my recipes for homemade cleaners, laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc? Eventually, I will be posting about the plants, how to care for them, edible landscaping, composting, etc, but in the meantime, as we wait for the ground to thaw, what would be valuable for you?
