Year in Review: Part I

2013 has been the craziest/best year of my life. I turned 30 in February and looking back at that time, I had no idea how much our lives would change in 10 months. At an attempt to reflect on all that's happened this past year, I'm going to recap the highlights of 2013. It all started the evening of Easter, when Dave's mom came to our house to chat.  They had the nursery on the market, and someone was interested.  And she didn't feel good about it.  She just had a feeling it wasn't the right thing to do.  Prior to her visit, Dave and I both worked full time jobs, but had a plan that we would make a change in the fall of 2013.  After his mom left, we pondered the idea of possibly taking over the nursery and making it ours.  The idea of working for ourselves was very appealing, but there were a lot of things we felt hesitant about: running a landscaping crew, managing a business, grueling hours in the spring and summer (goodbye boating!), and the list goes on.  The next few months, we couldn't get the idea out of our heads.

By June we made the decision. We were going to go for it.  And we decided to do it together.

So in July, we got married in Las Vegas. IMG_8929
