IMG_5539 (1)Hibiscus moscheutos

Hibiscus is a native American plant, and one of my favorite!

Hibiscus flowers are huge, up to 10 inches across. They bloom most of the summer and can be pink, purple, red, or white. I have a dark red hibiscus, but my mother in law Linda has a bubble gum pink hibiscus plant in her yard--I want it!

A few other facts: * they prefer moist soil * full sun * as they grow, they make big clumps up to 3 feet across, so allow room when planting

Can't wait to see hibiscus blooming again!
